In this morning gardening workshop, you’ll master the techniques that will allow you to take cuttings from a range of plants, creating new plants for your garden with ease. Join us for a relaxed, hands-on experience and have cuttings to take home at the end of the morning too!

Taking stem cuttings is both fun and satisfying, offering a fantastic way to create new plants for free!
In this gardening workshop, you will learn how to take soft and semi-ripe cuttings from a variety of plants. This interactive session will provide hands-on experience, allowing you to try it yourself. By the end of the workshop, you will have potted up your own cuttings to take home, increasing your plant stock. Join us and discover the joy of propagation!

Our very own studio space is set within the grounds of Old Barn Garden Centre, Dial Post, South of Horsham. Our dedicated space for courses, is a light airy and spacious place to learn.
Jenny teaches in small groups (max 10) which ensures everyone gets the opportunity to practice, and time to ask questions. Our monthly workshops are a great way to meet like minded people with an interest in gardening and the natural world.

As the owner of the Lindfield Gardening Company, Jenny has a wide range of experience including horticultural gardening, planting design and teaching gardening to enthusiastic beginners.

Gardening Workshops happen on the first Friday morning of the month at the Sussex Garden School Studio (RH13 8NR) and pre-booking is essential. These small-group sessions, led by expert gardener Jenny Samuels, cover essential skills to help your garden thrive—whether it’s growing plants from seed, mastering composting, taking cuttings, or selecting and planting seasonal bulbs.
