If you are struggling to keep your garden looking glorious throughout the summer months, this workshop is for you! Learn how to deal with gaps left when the spring bulbs have died back, manage sprawling perennials, keep your roses in good health, tackle heat waves, and ensure continuous blooms throughout the season, on this morning gardening workshop.
You will learn:People who want to get to know their gardens better, whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience but want to develop your skills and knowledge.
The Venue:Our very own studio space is set within the grounds of Old Barn Garden Centre, Dial Post, South of Horsham. Our dedicated space for courses, is a light airy and spacious place to learn.
Jenny teaches in small groups (max 10) which ensures everyone gets the opportunity to practice, and time to ask questions. Our monthly workshops are a great way to meet like minded people with an interest in gardening and the natural world.

Tutor:Jenny’s approach to teaching gardening is influenced by a passion for greener gardening and a strong belief in working with your soil and climate rather than against it. As the owner of the Lindfield Gardening Company, Jenny has a wide range of experience including horticultural gardening, planting design and teaching gardening to enthusiastic beginners.

Gardening Workshops happen on the first Friday morning of the month at the Sussex Garden School Studio (RH13 8NR) and pre-booking is essential. These small-group sessions, led by expert gardener Jenny Samuels, cover essential skills to help your garden thrive—whether it’s growing plants from seed, mastering composting, taking cuttings, or selecting and planting seasonal bulbs.
