Join expert weaver Theresa Sundt to create your own weaving of a beautiful summer scene.
Plan of the DayYou will be welcomed with refreshments before Theresa starts the course with a brief talk and introduction to weaving and the range of materials available to use during the day. Theresa will explore with you different ideas for your piece and various weaving techniques for you to use in creating your unique design. A whole range of material will be available for you to use and experiment with throughout the day.
Theresa, will demonstrate the basic weaving techniques and how to enhance your design with woven embroidery, and she will support you as you use a loom frame to create your piece.
In the middle of the day you will break for a delicious Field Foods handmade lunch, before returning to finish your beautiful design, which, by the end of the day, will be ready to take home and hang on your wall.

Tutor:Theresa has a BA in Creative Arts and History of Art from the University of Haifa and the Mc Gill University in Montreal. She has a depth of the value of colour as a certified colour therapist, and also teaches the art of weaving and of colour in schools, retreats and international workshops. Theresa is patient and playful in her teaching trusting that everybody can express their inner beauty in a most artistic way.

The Group:Theresa teaches in small, informal groups (max 9). The day is very hands-on, practical and relaxed.
The beautifully converted Field Foods Sussex barn is on the edge of a rose garden in the heart of the South Downs near the village of Piddinghoe, East Sussex. Field Foods are known for their outstanding locally sourced sustainable food, and the refreshments and lunch included in the course ticket will all be handmade in their kitchen, and will be another highlight of the day.
