Add some Christmas sparkle to your festive season and join glass expert Jazz to create a selection of Christmas decorations in fused glass.
Join our festive fused glass workshop and create your own beautiful Christmas decorations! Enjoy a fun, creative day making unique pieces for your tree and home while getting into the Christmas spirit.
Plan of the Day:We will start with a brief talk and introduction to fused glass and the range of materials available. We will look at the different types of glass fusion and how the material can be used to create different types of designs. There will be lots of materials available and you will be encouraged to play and create your own unique designs.
After our introduction you will chose the projects you wish to work on. You can choose from a Christmas tree or an s curved Christmas panel, or a tealight holder/bowl. You will learn how to cut and break glass safely to create your design, using a range of colours, with the help and guidance from the expert.
Your second project of the day will be to create up to 3 small tree decorations. You will have a choice of materials and a range of designs to inspire you as you create your own personal pieces.
Jazz will then take your designs for firing, and your finished decorations will be posted to you within approximately three weeks—in time to enjoy in the build up to Christmas!
Tutor:Jazz graduated as a BA Hons Designer Maker from the University of Brighton, specialising in glass. For many years she taught design and crafts to children and now she teaches glass techniques to adults. She has a reputation for patience and intimate knowledge of glass as material and a variety of techniques for crafting it.

-You will have used a range of accessory glass to create your pieces.
-You will have learnt some basic glass cutting skills
-You will have enjoyed the company of an expert tutor and other like minded creative people.
The day includes:All materials and equipment required to create your decorative pieces
Use of a craft apron
Refreshments throughout the day and please bring a packed lunch with you.
Postage – Jazz will send you your finished decorations after firing. You will receive them approx. 3 weeks after the course day.
No experience necessary.
This day involves basic glass-cutting, which Jazz will demonstrate and support you with.
Jazz teaches in small, informal groups.
The day is very hands-on, practical and relaxed.
Our very own studio space is set within the grounds of Old Barn Garden Centre, Dial Post, South of Horsham. Our dedicated space for courses, is a light airy and spacious place to learn.
