Whether it’s an old favourite shirt, a sentimental scarf, or pieces of material you simply adore, under Theresa’s expert guidance, you’ll learn the fundamentals of weaving and craft your chosen fabrics into a stunning creation with the opportunity to design and create either a bespoke shoulder bag or a unique plant pot cover.

This workshop will show you how to breathe new life into materials you treasure. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a fresh, creative outlet, this day promises inspiration, skill-building, and a creation you’ll love forever.

“I enjoyed this course so much – it was incredibly relaxing and meditative. Also, Theresa was such a joyous person, I loved her!!” Louisa

Course Tutor:

Theresa has a BA in Creative Arts and History of Art from the University of Haifa and the Mc Gill University in Montreal. She has a depth of the value of colour as a certified colour therapist, and also teaches the art of weaving and of colour in schools, retreats and international workshops. Plan of the Day:

You will be welcomed to the beautiful Pitfield Barn with refreshments before Theresa gives an introduction to weaving, exploring the different weaving techniques. Once you have decided whether you wish to create a bag or pot holder, you will cut the cloths you have selected, whether they be the ones you have bought with you or there will be extra fabrics available that you can use if you choose. The long strips of cloth will then be ready to be woven on a frame loom. Theresa, will demonstrate and support you to weave your fabric strips to create your unique piece.
