By the end of the day you will:
• Understand how to survey and analyse your garden site
• Have completed a basic design layout exercise, which you can then apply to your own garden
• Considered suitable hard landscaping materials for your garden
In Day 2, Juliet will explain how to design the planting for your garden to achieve colour, interest and atmosphere.
You will learn how to choose and combine plants for your soil conditions & the best effect in your garden.
You can decide on the style of planting that suits your garden and the types of plants that you want to grow.
We will discuss the pro’s and con’s of different plants, what to look for when you are buying plants and how to source good plants locally.
With illustrated talks & drawing exercises, by the end of the day, you will have completed some planting schemes and have the skills to continue designing at home.
