Are you thinking about refreshing your borders but unsure about where to start? Come learn about the basic principles of planting design in this talk with award winning garden designer Keri Fitzpatrick.

Introduction

Discover the basics of planting design. In this session, Keri will share design advice, hints and tips on the basics of planting design, and how to approach your plant choices, their placement and how they interact with their surroundings.

Who is the talk for?

This course for anyone who is an interest in the basic principles of planting design.
Beginners and garden enthusiasts are welcome.

The Tutor:

Kerianne (Keri) Fitzpatrick is an experienced, award-winning garden designer whose work is shaped by a rich background in art, travel, and design. She studied garden and landscape design at the University of Brighton and has created numerous show gardens, including the Macmillan Cancer Support Legacy Garden at RHS Malvern.

Keri comes from a background in luxury travel and hospitality, and her love of travel and natural landscapes continues to inspire her — resulting in gardens that are both beautiful and deeply rooted in their surroundings.

Alongside her design work, Keri also works as a lead designer in Juliet’s studio and shares her passion and expertise as a tutor at The Sussex Garden School.

The Venue:

Old Barn Nurseries is one of the largest nurseries in Sussex. The talk will be held in their purpose-built studio ‘The Garden Room’
