Britain’s largest “Prairie,” or “Naturalistic,” garden. Sussex Prairie garden opened to the public in 2009, just one year after planting. We count ourselves amongst a handful of large new gardens, designed and created in the 20th and 21st century, in Great Britain.
Surrounded by mature oak trees our eight-acre garden consists of a series of interlocking arcs of large planted borders in a naturalistic style. The borders encourage exploration and adventure and visitors are welcome to roam in amongst the mighty plants to further enjoy the experience.
