In our illustrated workshop, Keri will guide you through the process of designing a beautiful scheme for your small garden.

Subjects covered:

  • Assessing your site
  • Choosing the right plants for a small space
  • Privacy & screening in a small space
  • How to combine plants to good effect
  • An introduction to planting plans

You will achieve:

  • An understanding of how to choose the correct plants for your small garden
  • A list of plants that will create impact and interest but not outgrow their space
  • A list of plants that are suitable for the atmosphere that you want to create
  • Knowledge of how to combine plants to create a great design
  • An understanding of the process of planting design

Tutor:

Kerianne (Keri) Fitzpatrick studied garden and landscape design at the University of Brighton, and exhibited at RHS Hampton Court in 2011.  She has travelled extensively and brings this experience to her garden planting and inspiration.

Venue:

Old Barn Nurseries, Dial Post – one of the largest nurseries in Sussex.
Old Barn has a purpose-built studio and a myriad of wonderful plants to inspire your own planting schemes.
