SUMMARY:Pressed Flower Art for Beginners – Summer Memories
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxing day surrounded by the beautiful flowers of Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm\, and learn to harvest\, prepare flowers for pressing and be inspired to create your own personalised art. \nPlan of the Day:\nThe workshop starts with a demonstration by your tutor for the day\, Wendy Darby\, of the art of flower pressing\, including how to select and prepare your flowers through the seasons. \nYou will choose a variety of fresh flowers from the farm garden to press in your personal flower press. The press and flowers will be yours to take home at the end of the day. \nYou will also work with pre-pressed flowers which we have pressed for you. Wendy will guide you through techniques for mounting and framing your pressed flowers\, to make cards and other keepsakes during the course. \nTutor:\nWendy Darby\, is a qualified teacher\, designer and crafter. She has had a varied and eclectic career\, both nationally and internationally\, which she draws upon for her crafting and design inspiration. She is also a qualified Garden Designer\, encompassing the phrase ‘inspired by the Garden’ in almost everything she undertakes.
